Blake Brisbois
Psy.D.

Blake holds a doctorate in clinical psychology. He is registered with the California Board of Psychology as a Psychological Assistant under the supervision of Jesse Esqueda, Psy.D. Dr. Brisbois grew up in the Conejo Valley and attended the public schools of the Las Virgenes Unified School District before receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a doctorate degree from Antioch University, Santa Barbara. Dr. Brisbois maintains a private practice at Engage and specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families, helping and empowering them to work through various challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationship or family issues, and adapting to other life transitions. In addition to his private practice, he provides family therapy services to clients participating in Engage’s Intensive Outpatient programs and co-facilitates parent education classes at Engage. Prior to joining the Engage team, Dr. Brisbois provided therapeutic services for over 8 years at a number of settings in the Los Angeles area, such as: high schools, continuation schools, college counseling centers, inpatient hospitals, community mental health clinics, and private practices. His approach to psychotherapy integrates concepts of Cognitive-Behavioral, Gestalt Play/Art Therapy, Family Systems, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic approaches with a fit-based model. He brings to therapy a humility, having great respect for the vulnerability and trust required to make positive changes in one’s life. In his free time, Dr. Brisbois enjoys spending time with his family, restoring classic cars, traveling, and rooting for the Dodgers.
