James Oliver
Transportation Coordinator

James joined Engage in 2017. While he does many things around the office in support of the entire Engage family, he works as transportation coordinator for our treatment programs. He is a recent graduate of California State University Northridge with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and a minor in Sociology. James has gained experience with a variety of populations during internships where he trained women’s college soccer, softball and faculty, elderly traumatic brain injury victims and taught physical education to fourth graders. He also volunteers as tent leader with area homeless veterans in Ventura, works with disabled vets, is a mentor at a horse sense and healing clinic for veterans and first responders with PTSD. In addition, James practices equine therapy for autistic children in Simi Valley and currently conducts and leads weekly succulent propagation and landscape design at a meditation mount in Ojai. James brings a unique awareness about individual potential and paradigms as he has lived 27 years in Ventura County, 6 years in Nebraska, 2.5 years in Alaska and 6 years honorably serving in the U.S. Army. In his spare time, he can be found journaling, reading, hiking or practicing photography. James is very grateful to have to the opportunity to work with our adolescent clients and looks forward to his future with Engage Treatment Programs.
