Lyle Nelson
M.S., PPS, Intake Coordinator

Lyle is the Engage Intake Coordinator. He received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice and his Masters in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services credential, both from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. Prior to working at Engage, Lyle has worked in local residential facilities and with community based programs for over 5 years helping youth manage anxiety, depression, substance dependency, and connecting them and their families to community resources. Lyle started working at Engage in 2012 as a group therapist. He works well with youth who struggle with anxiety, depression, and anger to help them develop coping skills that work for the individual. He employs his sense of humor and patience when interacting with the youth in the program. As Intake Coordinator, he strives to provide hope to families coming in looking for help and is available to anyone to talk about Engage Treatment Programs. During his free time, Lyle enjoys going to the gym, reading science fiction, playing board games with his wife and walking their two boisterous French Bulldogs. He enjoys and strives to travel somewhere new as often as he can with family and friends.
