Eliza Monteverdi
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, Professional Clinical Counselor Intern

Eliza joined the Engage team in 2018 as a Group Therapist in our treatment programs. She earned her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in July of 2017. Prior to joining the Engage team, Eliza worked at a private practice counseling center in Pasadena and at Pepperdine University Counseling Center as a counselor for undergraduate and graduate students. She’s trained in psycho-dynamic psychotherapy which involves sinking deeper to address the root of the problem and has also worked extensively with children, adults, and couples dealing with issues of trauma, codependency, anxiety, depression, spiritual concerns, betrayal and loss. Her experience lies in collaborative treatment, working with other student services to provide students with multidimensional support and care. As a clinician both in our treatment programs and private practice, she works from a DBT model and incorporates spiritual integration and enjoys working with clients impacted by trauma, self-harm, disordered eating, spiritual issues, and unhealthy relationships. In her free time, Eliza likes to be with her family and friends and enjoys trying out new recipes and practicing yoga.
