Jessica received her Master’s degree in Counseling & Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Cal State Channel Islands. Additionally, she has over 16 years of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness meditation and is an adjunct psychology instructor at Los Angeles City College. As a clinician with Engage since 2012, Jessica’s works with individuals, adolescents, young adults, couples and families from a natural client-centered approach that incorporates evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) skills to help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other traumas, addiction relapse, and other mood/anxiety disorders. She also enjoys supporting clients who are experiencing a phase of life transitions (college, marriage/divorce, parenting, grief, loss, etc) and seeking additional skills to enhance the overall quality of life/well-being, individual purpose and meaning. With 3 professions (in addition to parenting 2 teens), Jessica maintains her own balance through fun times with family, daily yoga/mindfulness practice, cooking, poetry, hiking, reading, writing and mountain biking (2014 Californian State Champion), 1st place overall (age and category) Kenda Cup XC series 2014 and 2015.
