American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s “Out of the Darkness” Ventura County Walk

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

Engage Therapy continues to support, both in sponsorship and participation, in AFSP’s “Out of the Darkness” community walks. Being on the front lines of helping youth and their families navigating active suicidal ideation or recent suicide attempts, we are dedicated to all helpers and all organizations that are putting difficult conversations front and center. We have come a long way in fighting the stigma of having these important conversations, and we know we must do better.

If you’re looking for support and/or resources, please visit www.afsp.org/get-help and www.afsp.org/resources.

The walk route is approximately 2 miles. To see a map of the route, please click here, or look in our FAQ section below!
