Reflective Parenting Program

One of the most important parts of our treatment process is the concurrent Reflective Parenting Program.

In this 90-minute weekly class, parents will discover and develop new mindsets on the important relationship between behavior, feelings, and actions. These weekly classes include discussions and exercises designed to help parents reflect, respond and then continue those conversations with their child.

The Reflective Parenting Program is an empirically validated 10-week course that helps parents develop a more responsive, and less reactive relationship with their child. Parents are guided through a reflective learning process designed to build empathy, communication skills, and understanding.

Weekly workshops are held for groups of 6-10 parents, where they’ll learn new strategies and techniques for building a stronger and more honest relationship with their child.

This is a parent’s opportunity to be active in their child’s healing. Listen, learn, and reflect on feelings and behaviors. Develop a shared understanding and become better equipped to handle everyday challenges and uncertainties. While in the program, your child is doing heavy emotional work, every day. The Reflective Parenting Program gives parents tools that they can use to facilitate and honor that process.
