Preteen IOP

Committing To Connection

Engage Treatment Conejo Valley Preteen Intensive Outpatient Program Information

The focus of our Preteen IOP – for ages 10-12 – is to help youth who are struggling with their mental health to feel better about themselves, stronger in their abilities, and supported in all that they do.

This is where children can be emotionally vulnerable. This is where children are given resources, tools, and a team of their own, all dedicated to helping them discover more about themselves and their place in the world around them.

Our groups revolve around process and skill-based therapy techniques. That includes CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and the Oaklander Model of Gestalt Therapy. We incorporate experiential activities, giving children the opportunity to practice and apply their new skills in real-life environments.

One of the most important pieces of our Child IOP is the concurrent Reflective Parenting program. In this 90-minute weekly class, parents are empowered to grow along with their children. These weekly classes include discussions and exercises designed to help parents reflect, respond and continue those conversations with their children.

Teen IOP

Committing To Conversations

Isolation. Frustration. Fear. These are just a few of the words that we know can describe a teenager’s experience with depression and anxiety.

At Engage Treatment, our Teen IOP is built to foster conversations, develop meaningful relationships, and validate the struggles and experiences of teenagers. Our job is to facilitate those difficult conversations, teach clients how they can use the tools around them to pull themselves out of isolation and foster a sense of belonging through everything we do.

For teens ages 13-17, the Engage Treatment Teen IOP offers the supportive environment and mentality needed to grow and heal. We use a two-pronged approach – team-based peer support and family-centered therapy. Through 9-12 hours of weekly group therapy, teens are offered a space where they can be authentic, vulnerable, and honest. This process allows our clients to grow their support network, talk openly with their peers and learn from others on the same healing path. These sessions include a wide variety of therapeutic techniques including DBT, CBT, mindfulness, art therapy, and more.

Engage’s teen program relies on weekly family therapy and participation in our parent’s support services. We believe that parents learning and growing in parallel with their children allows for the most healing and the greatest results.

Young Adult IOP

Commitment To Community

We know the transition into adulthood is rarely straightforward. That can be especially true for young adults dealing with the complications of depression and anxiety.

At Engage Treatment, we have created a community that promotes discussion, sharing, and emotional exploration. Our goal is to make sure our young adults feel safe and supported as they grow and build on their life skills, and develop important bonds in their peer group.

For young adults ages 18-25, Engage Treatment will help you build the skills you need to lead an emotionally healthier, clearer, more true-to-yourself life. We do that through a combination of process and skill-based therapies, like CBT and DBT, and incorporating specialty groups like art and music therapy.

Engage Treatment collaborates with your outside support team, including therapists, doctors, schools, and your wider support network, so you have a complete treatment plan to work with. Together, we work as a team to discover and meet your treatment goals. Our highly trained and heavily invested team members have experience with a wide range of mental health issues. We are here and ready to help.
